Leaking Land Rover Help With PICS!!!
Okay, the pictures say a lot, I just got this land rover running, has a new "used" motor in it, and discovered the person who put in the motor didn't tighten some things up like power steering hoses and therefore got power steering fluid on a lot of things. However after that I noticed some other things.
Just a picture of it
This is a picture of the drivers side wheel, as you can see there is fluid leaking out from the axle (I am not super familiar with front straight axle terminology)
Another picture further back
I am not sure if the steering box is leaking? And somehow throwing power steering fluid everywhere, or .... idk
Kind of off topic but I also have a couple of mystery vacuum lines. This was found right where it shows in the picture, near the brake cylinder
And I am missing my cruise control vacuum line (is it the same vacuum line?)
And then there are two of this kind of "vacuum line" behind the engine and i have no idea where they go
Any and all help is appreciated!!!

The axle leak is a bad swivel ball seal, I would get a full seal kit to fix that. The power steering boxes have a problem with leaking on these trucks you can either try to reseal it or get a reman box but I would give everything a good cleaning with some degreaser first. As far as the vacume line with the T fitting that looks to be for the cruise controll

It's not necessarily worn seals that can cause the swivels to leak. Pitted swivel housings and bad pre-load adjustment can cause leaks as well. Seals are new on my truck, well 2 years old, and they leak because the swivel housings are pitted.
Yes this is the steering box, maybe your leak is caused by bad PS hoses
You are missing 2 hoses for your cruise control, one goes into the brake booster and the other goes into the regulator.

You can spray it all with Mean Green to help degrease it, get it clean so you can tell what you got.
Download the RAVE and start studying up on Your New Discovery. You will Discover a lot of stuff that you will need to know to take care of it.
Work your way thru the 60 K list assuming that it all needs to be done and maybe more.
If the vent line on your diff is clogged, it will contribute to that leak as well.

Thanks everyone, I am reading the Rave, there is just soooo much there!!!
I have heard a couple of places for ordering rover parts (roverparts i think was one of them) Which one do you find best? Is there any local stores that are decent, we have napa, carquest, autovalue, advanced auto where i live.
