Default Leaks leaks leaks!

No wonder I been loosing coolant (not much) after putting in the dye and running for a few days. My water pump is leaking.. Still.. And it's squealing so I'm sure it's about to go.

The hose coming off the termostat is leaking.

The hard coolant line that comes off the left hand of the radiator is leaking at the fitting.

I would have never known if it weren't for the dye.

And I have secretly been lusting after Mercedes g wagons

Shame on you Spence. Now we know what has angered the rover gods. You can't lust after other vehicles. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Now you will have to atone for your sins if you ever want your idle issue to go away with the leaks.

Next time just do a coolant pressure test, you'll know in 5 minutes.
With your mileage, you should be replacing all the hose along with the t/sat.
Try a bottle of Water Wetter or Purple Ice when replacing your coolant for a cooler running engine.

  • WaterWetter ®. Unique agent for cooling systems that doubles the wetting ability of water. Rust and corrosion protection allows for use of straight water in racing or reduced antifreeze levels in warm climates. Improves heat transfer and reduces cylinder head temperature.
