LED lights, yay or nay?
real pretty !.....but you'll need to find a different flasher....or thay'll blink really fast because of the difference in the resistance between the bulb types. hopefully someone else here will chime in with a part reccommendation............

I replaced my front dome light and cargo area lamp with LEDs, much brighter and a lot less power drain. My MFU module had overheated and melted a hole in the outer case. Will do center dome light soon.

I replaced my front and center dome with white, At night the white is blinding. I like the idea for red. And if you ever take your Rover wading how well will they hold up to the water? Ive thought about doing a complete LED conversion but I think my money is about to get tied up in the van project.
I'm tempted to do the led conversion, Never have to worry about a cop pulling me over for having a blown tail light.
hahaha the more I look at the picture the more bad@ss it looks, before you put all your money and work into the conversion, black out the windows with a tash bag and drive around and see if you like it.

I've installed quite a few LEDs on my truck. City lights in the main headlamps, both dome lights, glove box light, and both license plate lights. My favorite is the license plate lights. I've had them for about 9 months and one city light and one license plate light need replacing. Got all mine from Superbrightleds.com
As mentioned, if you put LEDs in your headlights or tail lights you'll get the fast blink. You also get the fast blink if you have a Heavy Duty rear bumper and eliminate the bottom lights in the stock bumper. The fast blink can be remedied by installing a new flasher relay. You'll need a Tridon EP26. It doesn't fit in the stock receptacle so you'll need to make some pigtails using male and female spade connectors. There's a detailed write up on Dweb, Tech, Blinked Tech.

Is it a simple plug and play for the taillights? Or would it require other things? and how well do they work submerged?
(and great idea on the trash bags Ill put them up before school in the morning)
