Default Lesson learned, before it was to late!

First thanks for all of your guys input on my oil light thread. Saved my motor and probably my marriage. Screen was clogged pretty much to the point of being completely closed up. Doing the job in the drive way with no jack, jack stands, or ramps sucked to say the least. About lost it when one of the sway bar nuts seized up on the bolt. but in the end the rain gods held off and had quality time with a three year old that was more excited about doing the wrk than me.

Sludge or RTV? BTW, you may not be out of the woods yet. Would still advise mechanical oil PSI test.

Sludge, didn't find what appeared to be RTV in the pan. Good news is I did let it idle up to temp and no sign of oil light. Buddy gonna bring oil pressure gauge by tomorrow after his shop closes. That big piece just about had the opening blocked. Hoping ultra-gauge is here by Tuesday.

That big piece is whut we calls "frying size"..... maybe it was like "curdled foam" and cooled down to a large blob. No screen could take on pieces that big floating around.

Hey, great time to change the starter....

Glad you dropped the pan. You should have a jack under the hood, the red bottle.... if not, pick one up and two jack stands. You could have left the tires on the ground and jacked the frame up without removing a thing.

X2 on the jack stands, the bottle jack should not be trusted with you under the vehicle.
