Currently proud owner of a 98 discovery and a 2001 discovery 2. Seen one up for 500 maybe 20 -25 miles away. Called the owner he thinks the block is cracked due to water in the oil, and some dings and dents here and there and the inside needs some care. He said the truck will crank and run. He thinks there is 300k miles on it, supposed to send me some pictures today. What I'm at now is I need a transfer case for my 98 would it be good to get a whole nother truck or is there to much of a difference in the parts for the 96 and 98. Then again it might be a simple fix and I have a 3rd rover in my yard. Any advice what to look for when I go check it out? Thanks
