Looking to sell my lifted 1997 Disco I? I need help for pricing!
Thanks for the info!
The rover has 147k miles, no rust in the floor boards, the sun roofs work, but because of the rack they cannot open all the way. I'm not looking to sell it on here, therefor the area will remain disclosed but it isn't near the "salt belt". The reason I'm selling is because I'm going off to college soon and need a more fuel efficient car. It's my daily driver so there's no blown head gasket.. I bought it about a year and a half ago from the third owner. The camel leather seats have been preserved nicely with waterproof seat covers. The engine is a 4.0 v8 and gets about 9mpg.

I think you mean your location will remain UNdisclosed.
You're asking for our advice but giving us nothing. So far all we have is an aging disco with 146k on the clock and sub-par gas mileage.
If you want an honest answer give us the details. And why not try to sell it here? If its a good truck I'm sure somebody would be interested.
Between this and your Lug Nut Emergency!! post something is mighty fishy. Esp since the wheels you have on the pictured truck take steel wheel lug nuts which can be had for about $1 each.
What's REALLY going on here?

Wait so you dont live in the salt belt but the only picture you post of the truck is in snow?!
I have seen that exact picture before. I am telling you somebody else I know has owned this truck and there is something wrong with it but I cant remember for the life of me..

Sigh...
You live in the salt belt. See all that snow? = SALT. Salt=rust. You have rust. I would bet money on it. The truck will sell if for nothing else but the the after market bolt on's it has. A lot of real rover buyers are going to want it just for those parts and depending on the trucks condition, to use those parts on trucks they already have...
9mpg? something is really wrong there. Truck should get at least 14.
At your milage, the truck is due for head gaskets. They all are. Also I would seriously question the O2 sensors and Cats if your only getting 9mpg. Again, they are due anyways at that milage.
I hate to say but with that information the trucks worth about 1000 to 1500, Plus another 1000 bucks for the aftermarket bumper and the rack. (price lowered a little due to the high possibility of rust again) so your looking at getting 2-2500 for the truck total.
Sad part is it's worth even less to a non rover enthusiast (the people NOT on this forum) Because all they are going to see is a pain in the *** extremely poor MPG truck and they are going to think $$$ for the repairs based on the horror stories most people have heard or lived. Call any rover shop and have them quote a HG replacement, O2 sensors and cats. It's more than the trucks worth.
But to a forum member who can do this work themselves the repairs are much lower.

if hes in the PNW we do get snow... and we dont get salt.
yeah i guess if youre thinking youve seen the pic before or know the truck, then its probably not from the PNW
I'd give $1,500 for that truck and I wouldn't pay over $400 more for accessories either...
