Default Loose door lock

I have to use the key and turn it to unlock the door. If I use the key fob and try to open the door it seems to get stuck and something like it doesn't go up all the way. Could it be a loose spring? Or just tighten something in the locking mechanism. 1998 disco.

This problem is on my list as well, I've got the door panel off and it looks like the actuator? Doesn't pop out all of the way when the central locking unlocks..

Do you think just replacing the actuator will fix it? Or the spring? There is an eBay selling selling door springs.

it could be the position of the actuator . . . the plate that holds it slides a bit in each direction for adjustment, may be worth trying a couple of positions before changing it. I still had to change mine because it was "chattering" and when I opened it some plastic gears were all worn down. The lock does have a bit of play and sometimes doesn't "pop" open on first try, but still opens OK.

I have the same issue with the passenger rear door and will have to try adjusting it next time I have the door panel off. In the mean time, I'll just reach over to unlock it when the need arises.

I will try to pop the door panel off and see what the real issue is.
