x2 on Mike's response. When those things die, just replace the actuator. My driver's door was doing the same thing. I took it out, tried to clean it up, but had no luck. Had to replace it. Now the rear passenger door is starting to go. I'll be heading back out to the salvage yard for another replacement soon.

You can do this yourself. I did it.
It is painful.
The actuator is about $200.
You need to loosen the door frame screws to skirt the actuator around the window frame.
Of course you need to take the door all apart.
Be careful putting in the new one - get the plastic key drive from the outside key aligned with the input allen cap on the new actuator.
