99 Discovery no.1 turn signal/brake 15 amp fuse blows when brake pedal pressed, console shifter cannot be moved out of park. Replaced brake and switch above brake switch but still fuse blows , when disconnect 4 pin connector at switch above brake switch no blown fuse ,still cannot get shifter out of park , me sad , you got answer me happy , you ,me mad

Examine rear brake lamp housings for corrosion that is shorting across lamp bases. Or trailer connector. Anything in the rear that comes on when brakes pressed. Or incorrect bulb type if recently replaced. See attached drawings from RAVE.

You obviously have a short to ground. So get busy looking like Buzz said.

The problem with it not shifting is related to the blown fuse. You have to have foot on brake energizing the circuit, this deenergizes the solenoid that allows you o shift out of park.

Start reading the RAVE Electrical Troubleshooting Manual. A corroded lamp fixture is common on these as is a problem with the trailer connector by the rear light fixture just inside the rear corner on passenger's side.
