Default Left side lights won't cut on with headlights!

Hey guys. Changed my rear/left brake light a couple of days ago. I noticed when my wife drove off from the house that when the headlights are turned on, it won't come on. But when the brakes are pressed the light comes on. Is it a bad fuse or did I hit a wire maybe? Need a little help. Thnx people!

Just checked the fuses. All are good. Also checked some wides. They look good also. It is dark outside though. Used a flashlight on my iPhone. Everything looked good. Stumped!

Cool man! Hopefully I find the problem soon. Scared to drive at night. Don't want a ticket.

The tail light assembly, with connector C406, where you change the bulbs, has a common ground for all the bulbs. The fuse for brake light is F1, the fuses for the "side light" (I call them tail lights) are F2 and F8. may have to change more bulbs.

The right side is fine. It's only the rear left tail light. It comes on when I press the brakes. But when I cut the headlights on the top light is supposed to stay on bu t it's not. Are you saying it might be some bad bulbs causing it? Just trying to understand

On yours, does a separate bulb come on when you push the brakes, or does the one in a particular spot just get brighter?

The bulb comes on when I push the brake. It's supposed to stay on with the headlights and get brighter when I press the brake with the headlights on! I believe! All I did was change a bulb. Also the yellow light near the front on the left side doesn't come on also! Weird!

I think you are supposed to have a separate lamp that comes on with head lights, and does not get brighter when pedal depressed. So you may have other bulb(s) out.

Might be bad bulbs, or corroded socket bulbs go into. 94/95 had two brake lights each side, later only one brake light and turn signal
