Default Main Bearing troubles for a 97 Disco

In short, has anybody ever had a problem with fitting king brand bearings that are .010 over onto the 4.0 block. The center top bearing with the thrust washer on it does not fit on the saddle but the rest of them do. The bearing is too tight to fit and if it is pushed in it will be to tight for the crank to turn. I had replaced the main bearings before with standards but the crank was ground so now I have to go 10 over. Any thoughts? Is there a chance that I have a 3.9 block which supposedly has a wider saddle by .010? This has delayed getting this motor back together for a month now. I really hope there is someone who has answers. I am at a loss in money and time.

So I am being told by West Coast British and the parts department at the dealership that there is no oversize bearings for a 4.0. I just ground my crank out of service it looks like unless anyone tells me otherwise.

I just got a call from the machinist who said that the bearings have to come from federal-mogul and the guy who told him this has given those specs to them so that the thrust bearing is correct. I should have these new bearings on Monday or Tuesday and will verify if this fits. Atlantic British says that they sell fedral-mogul mains but they have not got back to me with any other details that I asked for.

As a heads up for anyone reading this do not get 10 over main bearings from ebay, amazon, rock auto or partsgeek as they may send you King brand bearings which will not work. King's tech line said (in so many words) that they don't really care. These were the bearings that came with my crank after it was machined 10 under.

Thank you for that, I am hoping that the bearings I have coming are going to work. After being sent the wrong bearings a couple times I am weary.

I have got the correct bearings and the motor is coming together. The Federal mogul bearings I got from the machinist fit but he is charging a ton of money for them so I think I am being taken for a ride. At this point I don't care as the motor is coming together now. I just can't see why (aside from mark-up) I would be charged $220 for a set of mains.
