Messed up royaly!!! ECM wet, truck wont start!

I installed the new fan clutch yesterday, what a difference! It sounds like I have a leaf blower under the hood now. I had already changed the T-stat a month ago WaltNYC. I got the same Stant T-stat you recommended. I have to hook up my obd scanner because the temp gauge is still slightly under the middle of the gauge. My guess is that its around 220 degrees, which is still too high.

Gauge just under half way is normal operating temp, if it starts rising above half under load then i would be looking elsewhere.

That's good news then! My Landy's temp gauge operates just under the halfway mark. The new viscous fan clutch is helping (obviously, lol). Can anyone clarify this for me, I don't remember where I read that on our cars the temp gauge should not move?

don't rely on the gauge on the dash. As one of the guys around here like to write..."that gauge has three positions..... off, normal, and screwed.

download an app and get a dongle. best money you'll ever spend on the truck.
