Default Minimum Brake Rotor Thickness?

Anyone know the minimum rotor thickness for a disco 1 with NON vented discs? Mine are so rusty I cant find any letters stamped in the side. I am having them machined to remove the rust and need to know if they are good to go to pass safety to make her road legal.

Thanks!

well, I just looked through the factory service manual and it doesnt say......go figure, .....but I do remember reading somewhere that the manufacturer doesnt reccommend resurfacing them ..only replacement..that being said, the rotors ARE about the cheapest part of the job ($40 each) so replacement wouldnt be that bad. If you only needed to cut them a few thousands just to clean them up, I personally dont think it would cause any problems

Front and Rear Rotor minimum thickness are the same @ 12mm.
That's too thin for me!
IMHO rotors are way too inexpensive (even quality ones) to waste time with resurfacing.

Thanks a lot! mine are at 19mm and are perfectly good with just some surface rust from sitting, Im going to resurface them to get her on the road (im resurrecting it from the dead and on a budget, every other brake component has been replaced)
