Default Misfiring, time for a tuneup? What tuneup parts are recommended?

My Disco's occasional misfiring when cold has turned into more frequent misfiring all the time, so I'm thinking it's the typical culprits of distributor cap/rotor and while I'm in there I ought to do plugs of course, maybe wires too? What do you more seasoned Rover owners recommend?

As for the parts to use, I know my Volvo uses Bosch OEM ignition parts and I always like to use OEM, whats OEM on these? Where should I get the best deal?

Thanks

I don't know about the distributor cap or rotor, but I believe most folks on here like Champion plugs and Magnacore 8mm wires. The old-fashioned plugs seem to work better than the fancy-shmancy ones.

good value in plug wires here...go with 8mm and add some separators.

No experience with their caps/rotors but might be worth a look. As noted, good 'ol Champion copper plugs seem to be the most popular.

Hmm so thats wires and plugs...

Anyone know if its worth buying the cap and rotor in the genuine Land Rover box or is there an OEM equivalent available like Bosch is to my Volvo. Is lucas OEM?

With cap and rotor it's wise to go with Genu-Whine Lucas otherwise you'll wish you had.

So genuine=Lucas? If I buy lucas I'm getting the same quality stuff as if I get the "land rover" genuine ones?

Just clarifying cause I'd sure love to save the half price buy indeed getting lucas instead of paying for the ludicrously pricy little green LR logo as long as they are the same

I buy mine from Atlantic British. They sell a tune-up kit.
