Default mufflers

Have any of you just replaced the rear most muffler? How did this affect the sound?

Default Muffler Diver...

The thing at the back of the truck is the resonator... supposed to cut down on vibration and sound.

The muffler is located in the center of your truck, aft of the trans. When I did away with my cats I also got rid of the resonator.... but I kept the center muffler. Opened up the flow nicely and isn't toooooo loud. Definitely noticed a bit of hp increase but not much. Really it is just a tad more responsive in the skinny pedal with less backpressure.

If you replace it you arefoolish and are only wasting money. The difference of it on and off is hardly noticeable and the little bit you notice reminds you your not driving a 1.8l engine. Sounds good trust me

I have had several Borla's. Once they break in they sound great.

If I do anything, I'm gonna replace the cats, and take it to my local exhaust shop (they do great work) have him go from cats back w/ a flowmaster (love em) and some aluminized tubing for a couple hundred bucks
