I love it when people think outside the box, good work. For my taste I would have found a thinner wire mesh or one with a more square pattern, I just think it would make the look more upscale. See next you will be out at your local steel supplier buying stuff to do a custom bumper.

LOL. If I could keep her running long enough to save up the money I would be there tomorrow to get steel for a bumper.

Looks kinds like mine. I had the expanded metal in there first, but opted for aluminum. They had the ricer import trim stuff on clearance, so I tried it.

I like it, but I agree with Spike, put the emblem back on

I have seen your countless times OK and I never realized it was a custom fab. I thought you paid the outrageous price for a real saudi grill. Good job with it man. I have always liked yours and that was were I got my inspiration.

Did you cut the center out of the stock grille? How did you mount the metal grating? I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about this!

Ha ha thanks for all the compliments. I just cut out the center of a spare grill I had. The back is flush, so I just laid the piece of metal on the back and epoxied it in. The 2 part plastic epoxy that comes in a syringe and smells terrible worked the best. ( I tried a few). I had the same expanded material in mine, but it hindered flow a little. You can see the pics in my album as I progressed. I was at pep-boys and they were clearancing out a piece of aluminum for the ricer car mods that was the perfect size. It was $20 and in the end, I didn't spend over $30 on the finished product.

Got my LR emblem on yesterday. Pried the one off the old grill and epoxied in place with the same stuff. Works like a charm.
