Alright, so now my 98 D1 just crapped out on me. Less than 100k on the clock. I drive it 50% of the time, and never have had a single issue or check engine light. Drove it over to my neighbors from a cold start. Motor didn't even really get up to tempature. After 15mins Started back up to go home and half way just crapped out on me and wouldn't restart.
Am I looking at similar issues here?

so i check out my disco this morning and my best bet is the fuel pump. i tried to start it and nothing. checked the pressure at the fuel rail (just pressed on the pressure valve) and had a little dribble out. went back and turned the key to run and checked the rail again.....nothing. guess i will swapping out the pump

Try a few things you can do yourself before the expensive fuel pump:

1) Fuel filter

2) MAF - Just clean it out really well with MAF cleaner...

3) Vehicle Speed Sensor (Vehicle Speed Transducer)

I dragged it back over to my place today. While I had an extra hand, I cycled the key once more while my buddy pressed in the valve on the fuel rail. Nothing. To me, it seems like the pump. Am I missing something else that would prevent the pump comming on? (BTW- Fuse for pump is good)
