Well i finally got the old starter out. She was not fun. I had purchased the extension and was using that but i did not have a allen wrench socket so i was able to get the bottom bolt out with just a plain allen wrench and that took forever but the top bolt i couldn't get to. So sunday i went and both my allen wrench socket and after that it took me 5min to get the top bolt out. after that i was able to get my new starter on and bolted in and after that she fired right up. Very excited for the new starter. she starts really quick and feels really good. It took me around 3hrs but now that i know how to do it i could replace it in under a hour but with a lifetime warranty I'm hoping this starter won't die on me. Thanks for all the help. i would've been lost without the help and this forum. Thanks guys i feel very accomplished that i was able to fix my disco once again....

It's funny how a night's sleep makes a big difference. What seemed impossible the night before is now possible. Congrats man. ;^)

it greats what a nights rest can do but what helps more is when you have the right tools for the job..... but I definitely feel accomplished with the install.

Now I'm onto getting my sunroofs back up and operational.
