Well lots of work done today.
Ordered my lift kit TF204 HD Terrafirma
Removed my old O2 sensors and was going to replace them but I was sent the wrong ones..so re-ordered those. Installed my fuel filter. Changed a bunch of bulbs.

Discovered my ABS module is unplugged. My brass plug in the radiator is JB welded on. Plus a few other additions to the to do list.

In preparation for my lift I decided to remove the shocks and all the hardware I could. My shocks are original and have never been off. One side I got to come loose the other I had to cut off.

I removed the evap box because I didnt want to risk breaking off the little plastic nipples or hoses. Old licence plate incase cut off wheel jumped. Dont want to loose my AC

Not pretty but it worked.
I got these cool sockets from Sears that handle 6 and 12 point bolts. Also square male and male torx. They work well for the wierd shock shaft since I couldnt find my actual shock sockets.

Gonna clean and paint my shock towers while I wait on parts. I broke two shock tower bolts. Damn. Rear upper mounts frozen too but I'm soaking those over night. Productive day.

Got most of my front suspension and frame gunk free. Cleaned up all the steering parts and box. The axle and spring perches are all pretty much done. Lots of power washing and scrubbing. My goal is to have every moving part free of crud.

I discovered the diff and swivels were swapping fluids. All the seals, bearings and bushings are getting replaced. New HD tie rods and arms are on the way.

Lift is about half done. No way its fitting out of the garage. Gonna have to take the wheels off or flat tires.

Finished my swivel rebuild. New CV axles, bushings, bearings, thrust washers, all new seals. Lift is installed. ARB bumper mounted. My CDL is gutted and resealed. I degreased and scrubbed the axle steering parts and frame. Center console needs put back and finish trans flush. Almost ready.

Diggin' that rust free frame and body. Most all the D1's around where I live are mostly dust now.

Thanks guys. Scope I still want to do the hood black out and possibly the rockers in bed liner. Maybe the roof too.

Yea zero rust here. I'm from the east coast and now I'm completely spoiled. I'll never buy another rusty car. It's amazing to have factory markings on the frame.

So damn close to driving. Every time I think I'll have a few hours to work on it something comes up. There it sits.

Good read. I'm trying to lay my hands on a running D1 (seems most for sale around here are DOA) and will reference this thread for sure.
