Need assistance removing D1 tranny pan and filler tube

Exclamation Need assistance removing D1 tranny pan and filler tube

I am going to a boneyard tomorrow and I really need a primer on every thing that i will need to remove a D1 tranny pan and filler tube. Specifically:

1. What tools will I need or would be nice to have around
2. Pit falls on pulling these parts out, firstly the filler tube mounting bracket which appears to be in a tight space behind the engine and also removing the huge subframe brace to get the tranny pan out

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If I remember the bolts on the support tube are 17 or 19mm with the same size nut on the opposite side. Sometimes it is wedged in/tight. Bring a fine adjustment tool(aka hammer) to knock it out.

The pan(again from memory) has 10mm bolts.

The pick up tube... Never removed one.

The frame stiffener is a beeotch to get out even with a large rubber coated fine adjustment tool. A bottle jack with a short block of wood in between the frame rails can give you that little bit of yaw to drop it without much beating. How you hold it all in place while using the jack handle is up to you......

It's a boneyard so I don't care about the condition of the frame stiffener, what do I need to get it out a sledge hammer?
Also, what tools do I need what size is the nut for the filler tube?

An engineers hammer at max. I use a 5 pound brass hammer.

I need to know what sized wrench I need for the filler tube to pan nut and the mounting strap nut.

Not sure, bring a set of metric sockets and box wrenches, you'll be fine

I haven't looked but you might be able to get that crossmember out of the way with a Sawzall.
As mentioned, bring a good selection of Metric and SAE sockets/wrenches.

Adjustable for the fill tube I think, bring the Allen key to fit the drain plug or take a fluid bath

Fluid bath, Funny! The JY by my house always drains the oil, in fact they punch holes in the pans, better make sure that is not the case before buying.
