Need to change the wheel bearing, But...
Total cost for everything should be around $145
$112 for 8 timken WB ($14/ea @ partsgeek.com)
$20 for 2 1/16" socket
$8 for drive member gaskets
$5 for WB HIGH TEMP grease
Plus tax I guess shipping.
Yes the wheel bearings are all the same too. I'm shelling out for new lock nuts and lock washers for peace of mind and I think it comes out to $159 for those too. But I still have to fund time and a shop to work in. Driveway and a jack with stands don't cut it for me

you some sort of Primadonna or what...
And before you go explaing your brand of sarcasm, I said that believing you are kidding... at least hoping you are.
Back on topic... To Calebs point, to do the whole vehicle (all 8 bearings) is relatively cheap and heavy on PEACE OF MIND as you drive 1000 miles with a loaded vehicle.

As for on road versus off road, there should be no difference in wear with proper maintenance.
If you are talking about the RAVE - PM me your number and I can walk you through it.
The advantage of the 4 way lug wrench is that you can apply enough force to even break loose lug nuts that some idiot overtightened with an impagt tool. I need to mount a clamp or something to secure it in, but I much prefer it over any regular lug wrench or socket and rachet like some use.
And I am sure Calebbo would avoid crawling under his rig if he can do it in a shop. Some people are spoiled.

Yeah if you could work in a shop instead of in the driveway, which is all pebbly and I get scared the jack and stands are going to slip with all the weight and weak foundation underneath.., wouldn't you do that too? Well guys I have new motivation to do alot..PROM! I asked a senior yesterday! Boring stuff for you guys probably but I'd rather drive claire to prom than ride a limo :P
