New CD player Help

You can rip the CD's. That is time consuming but easy enough to do.
I'm working on tapping the audio inputs that run between the CD player and the head unit. I plan to pull the 13 pin DIN cable from the back of the head unit and run that to a junction box. Then run another 13 pin cable from the box to the head unit. The box will have inputs for USB power and audio. Then a wire from the ipod to the junction box such as this...
ipod wire without using the video wire.
At that point I have a powered ipod with direct audio connections.
If I only had enough time to do the project!
