Question Help: New Disco w/ 5" lift

Hey all, my name is Julian, and I had been looking to purchase a disco 1 for a very long time, i finally purchased one and I am scared ****less haha.
It has a 3" terafina spring and shock lift and a 2" spring spacer, currently on 305/65/16 wheels. Prev owner did not do any other mods. From what I have been gathering is that this is too much, and the car does drive pretty bad as it sits.

I am planning to remove the spring spacer, and just have it on the 3" lift. From the reading that i have been doing, 265/75/16 tires should clear, or are there other recommendations?
What other changes would you recommend for a 3" lift, brake hoses, driveshaft, control arms? I am trying to stay within a budget.

Thank you

There is lots of info on the 265/75r16. I have a build thread showing the mods I did for them to fit on a 2". IMO if you want to keep the tires it has, go to a 2" body lift rather than the spring spacers. At minimum you will need longer brake lines, extended bump stops, camel cut the rear, extended steering stops, and flex the suspension to make sure nothing else hits. If you get wheel spacers so that you can actually turn it, you will likely need to trim the fenders and install flares.

Thank you for the reply. I currently have wheel spacers, and everything clears. My main concern after reading some of the threads for D2s is that a 5in lift is too much, and can mess up drive shafts, transmission.

I would say 5" suspension lift is too much. The difference between suspension lift and body lift, is that body lift doesnt cause additional stress on driveshafts and angles. you are too tall on suspension, the angles are off and will cause it to drive poorly, in addition to being dangerous for driveshafts, steering, brake lines, etc. I would convert to either a 2" or 3" suspension lift and do a body lift in addition if youd like taller. Then choose the tires you want. larger than a 32 will likely need axle upgrades, and no matter what bigger tires will make it an absolute snail, so might as well go bigger, lol.

Thats what the suspension looks like fully stuffed. I drove up a hill to test the bump stops and whether the tires hit anything.
