Yeah I have, I also broke 4 drill bits.
What I did was get a smaller drill bit than the head, and drill straight down the middle. On about 3 of them the head popped off and I was able to pop that part off. The other heads broke 4 of my drill bits..

OK, Calebbo have you ever heard of a center punch? Place it on the desired exact spot you want to drill and strike it firmly. This should leave an indentation to start your drill bit into the material. When you learn how to use the drill you won't break a bunch of drill bits if they are good quality sharp bits. If you broke that many bits just trying to drill out that little cover, you ain't doing something right. Get your shop teacher to show you how dude.
