Official Discovery I MPG Thread

I'm getting about 11.5 - 12.5 on average. About 90% city driving. Stock size tires, 2" lift and a custom cat-back. I am debating on getting new O2 sensors. I would consistently have my CEL on for bad O2s but since I did my head gaskets about 3k miles ago I don't have any codes. It's about time for new tires too so I'm debating new tires, new O2s and maybe getting rid of the Disco all together. I like it but I'm getting tired of bad MPG and ABS issues. Plus I'm about to close on a new house that's about 6 miles further from work.
Anyway do you think new O2s would help my MPG a little bit? I bet the ones in there are original but the cost of new ones are ridiculous. I own alot of mustangs and camaros and my WJ so I'm use to having cheap parts.

Hi guys- I'm new to the forum and my discovery. I bought mine a week ago in Denver and I'm looking forward to some off-road fun in the rockies.
Anyway, to the topic, my first tank I got 15.6mpg running 75% highway on 91 octane.
I'm going to take the Disco up to cascade creek this Saturday, any other guys wheeling in CO this weekend?

14 on highway, 10 in the city, 11-12 average. 7 on the sand dunes. That's with 32" tires, 2" lift, bare front bumper, and I still have some minor tuning details to do. Also I will be going to narrower tires by the end of the summer, 235/85s instead of 265/75s. I've done like 95% of the 60,000 mile tuneup.
Truck got 8 city and 11 highway before I rescued it...
Also, 19-22 MPG in my 4.0L Ford Ranger, average 20 (low 14, high 24). 29-33 MPG in my Nissan Sentra, average 31 (low 22, high 34). But the smiles per gallon (SPG) on both of those is about the same as or maybe less than the Rover.

I called Will Tillery, found out he has both used and new ones available at a better price than I could find anyywhere.
Due to tight funding program, I opted for the used front ones only, total cost including shipping $45 for the pair. He included a one year warranty (same as on a new one) saying they work now, but could fail later, but will replace if they do.
I installed them, they work fine.
