I don't have a template I just cut as I went with a pair of dykes some snips and a dremel. It's quite easy and the tubing covers up any mistakes. It's got to be impossible to mess up.

The snorkel is supported via two 1.5" L brackets. I used rivets into the snorkel, didn't know my dad had a rivet gun and it aces me
Some pain of trying to place a bolt down the snorkel. It also has one 2.5" PVC clamp that holds it to the... Inner wall..

I can't wait to get the head on. I put on a small filter for now and it looks watt better looks great!

I just couldn't justify 500$ on a plastic snorkel, on a truck who's main purpose is to be a great cheap rig.

I could have ran it on the outside of my fender, it didn't cross my mind because I originally was using PVC and didn't want any fittings to be seen, especially since nothing looks worse than a snorkel that doesn't fit the angle o the windscreen.

+1 on wanting to see how you hooked everything up under the hood. Can you show us the link to the airbox and how you snaked it through the fender? Looks great.

Spencer - You're such a friggin rockstar. That setup is CLEAN, nice work! I don't know how many threads are on this site and other Rover forums where people's ideas for the homemade snorkel get ridiculed and shot down. I'm glad to see someone succeed and actually do it, well done! (insert applause)

Really great job Spence. You should build some and sell them to us as a kit! I would buy one. No way am I ever buying a safari snorkel.
