Default oil main seal replacement

I noticed my main seal in the front of the engine is leaking. Was wondering if anyones replaced this and how difficult of a job it might be. Was also wondering if as long as I'm replacing it if i should just go ahead and replace the oil pump as well. Its got 175,000 miles on it and i don't know if its ever been replaced or not. Any thoughts?

Its not that difficult of a job. The hardiest part is getting the crank bolt off the crank.
Yes when you are in there change the oil pump and timing chain and gears. But make sure there is no scoring on the front cover from the oil pump. If so replace it also

Thanks for responding. I don't mind replacing the front cover if I have to but I have the gems engine and all the covers I see are the Bosch style

If you need one check with Paul Grant. He parts out Land Rovers and sells the parts for a good price. They are tested and in working order. If he has one it will be in good shape.
