Yes, In the begining of the thread I was pretty specific about what I did. So yes, rear stock disco springs go in the front for 2" of lift. Good luck!.

I've been having trouble finding fj80 coils here in Colorado. My friend just bought a disco and it's has 32x12.5 tires on it and desperately needs a lift before he can even think about going off road. It rubs pulling into the driveway.

Instead of using fj80 coils in the rear, what is a good new set of springs to buy that would match well with the rear disco springs in the front?

This will cost a little bit more but will still be cheaper than a full set of spring.

Thanks for any info.

well I got 2" of lift in front from rear disco springs so..................buy some rear 2" lift springs. They are available from MANY different rover places. Dont forget you will be loading things in the rear for gear if you go camping and wheeling so some 2" medium duty or better yet HD springs would be best. Also if you go HD springs in the rear and your **** is up to high you can always buy or make a cheap 1/2" spacer for the front to level things up.

Awesome, thanks guys.

I have the TF HD springs on my truck and haven't added any extra weight yet. They are great on road but way to stiff off road. I might do the old springs up front with a little spacer and leave the HD springs in the rear and load it down with tools, and maybe some cinder blocks.

My FJ80 coils arrived today. They are the 8 wraps and they are quite large. They came off a Land Cruiser with a towing package and stock 31" tires. Once i get them on ill let you know how much they lift the truck. Hopefully they don't lift it too high.

I don't mind a slightly higher lift, I just don't have money for longer shocks and all the other stuff that starts needing to be replaced when you go higher than 2-2.5". It is not a DD and its a budget trail rig though so either way I can't wait to get them on.

my FJ80 coils are about 20-1/2" long and more tightly wound than those on the yota forum
