Fresh out of blasting. Needs paint still but it turned out nice. Rather overkill with 1/4" steel but what the hell.

I haven't broken one yet but my dad runs a machine shop and it started life as scrap metal. Mountain Goat actually inspired these. Figured for the cost of U-bolts and a can of spray paint why not.

Funny how every thread you find says how easy it is to swap the steering damper and how it's a 10min job and all.. But not one post I've ever seen mentions your supposed to prime it first.

Looks like I'll be pulling mine back out to prime it.

That one is a little low. This is how I relocated my stock one.

This is stage 1 and I'm going to set it up to accept a D2 style damper. If I take it out there I'm gonna have bigger problems because my the best part of my steering components as well as oil filter will probably go with it.

I am also very interested in how to prime a stabilizer because the old stocker will be coming off in the very near future.

If you turn the u bolt side to the top of the bar it will be fine. You figure if it gets busted up there your steering is gone too.

Apparently you are supposed to pump it a few times vertically till it moves freely before installing.
