Lucked out I think...
i put new driver side regulators (both front and rear) and on accident left key in ignition... killed battery... after i jumped car to get it started and recharged, i battled with the DAMN DOUBLE HORNS for like 10 minutes... WOW they are loud... i figured out i can unscrew front grill and pull the power to them... well then i got in car turned key AND tada... car started and would shift in gear... well it is working, but not sure why... keeping brake switch as backup just in case... any explanations on what happened? i think the computer or security reset... but thx for everyone's help (yet again...)

Ugh, 4 pages because you won't do any troubleshooting.
Try the dang cargo door jumper trick I explained. If it works and you can shift then replace your brake light switch.
If not, do this. Turn the key to position 2, you should hear dings and dongs. Wait for the sounds to stop. Press the brake pedal. You should hear a click or a sliding click type noise from the shifter area. This is the solenoid retracting allowing you to shift. If you don't hear this you have an issue. Start by checking fuses, I'm not sure if there is one for the solenoid but its a start. Then search the forum for "can't shift".
And please stop asking for help, ignoring the advice offered, and then reposting that you still have the problem.

Read this entire thread:
Cannot shift out of park - Land Rover Forums - Land Rover Enthusiast Forum
It covers the big three reasons for the "can't shift syndrome". It should contain all the info you need to diagnose your issue. Best of luck.
