Unhappy pauls Engine cutting out

my 300 series 2.5 engine cuts out, it only happens (usually) within 5 minutes of starting up and might do it a couple of times and after that seems run fine, it sometimes takes a couple of goes at starting up again which can be a bit embarrassing if it happens on a busy junction, any idea's what could be causing this???

Maybe the lift pump isn't working well and it takes a while of running to get fuel pressure to the injection pump? Or maybe you're getting air in the fuel lines somehow?

I'm no expert on diesels, and not many that use this forum know much about the 300tdi, so you might have better luck at a site in the UK or Australia. How new is the Disco? Some newer versions have something called EDC which complicates things a little.

I know this may sound silly, but how recently have you changed the fuel filter, or spark plugs? Also is it throwing up any codes when doing this, and how does it act on inclines after warm up?
