I vacuumed everything up but haven't tried the fan yet (battery is disconnected). I got here trying to track down a problem with the pass side wiper. Turns out the wiper arm itself is stripped-out where it joins with the pivot-pin. I will need another one at some point.

So is there supposed to be some kind of cover over that opening for the fan? It's no wonder ther was some much junk in there. Also note mouse-house under wiper mech.

Do not park it underneath the Pine Trees either.

Have you lifted the carpets yet to check out the floor pans?

Just the back carpet to vacuum. Not bad, nothing rotted through just surface stuff along the seams. Probably would be minimal had the PO fixed or at least sealed the rear sun roof.

I was under the rear end today pulling out what remained of the exhaust. Agian, looked good but some rust along the pinch-seams.

This rig was sold new in OK, moved to Kansas then made it up here. At least that's what I was able to put together based on the documents I found in the owner's manual.

Often times, windshield leaks and heater issues get the front carpets soaked and they will not dry well with those giant sponges in there.

On the thread Slanginsanjuan has about his rusty floorboards, there is a link to a document from Land Rover detailing known leak issues that they sent to the dealerships. Very good to look at to see the Known Leaks.

Exactly what I was thinking......I wonder who that is that's holding the fan?

See https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...acement-32561/ for a way to make your own filter from rough filter material. I also cut a chunk and stuffed it in the duct going down toward the heater fan. Looks like you might be missing the plastic frame, perhaps a dismantler has one.
