Default Pinion Angle

Ok so I think I have figured out what is wrong

Driveshaft output angle is +2*
Pinion angle is +4.5*
Driveshaft is 10*

So after reading around the internet I have a +6.5* angle total when measured from the passenger side. But the reading says that the angle should be 3* for best performance?

So how do I lower the transmission/xfer case down to 0*?
To reduce the angle on the pinion I can loosen the A arms to a certain point, but then would need to add washers at some point to ensure that I drop the pinion angle to +1*.

Does that make any sense? Or am I just not understanding the whole pinion angle and driveshaft angle deal?

Ok from the following website

Pirate4x4.Com - Extreme Four Wheel Drive

I came up with the following document to solve my vibration. So does this make any sense?

You don't say if you have a stock D1 propshaft or a DC. That affects what the angles should be.

I have a stock D1 propshaft. I inserted a washer between the bushing and the A arm. I also inserted small washers between the bushing and where the bushing bolts to. It seems to have lowered the pinion angle from 4.5* to 2*.

I think I need to add one more washer between the bushing and where the bushing mounts to. I took it for a test drive and the vibration is less so if I drop the pinion angle as close to 0* as possible then with the axle wrap I should be able to match the operating angle at the top of the drive line, which is 8*.
