Default Plastic tank repair/replacement

I ordered three new radiators the other two arrived with cracked plastic tanks. Thired time the charm. Now i got these other two and just thought to take them to the recycle center but just notice that the cracks are on different sides. In my area it is all but impossible to find someone willing to work on them [Charleston,SC] One shop said it is possible but they don't have the rig for Land Rovers. My question is can the plastic tank be taken off and reinstalled with the good tank? I hate to salvage it for pennies.

If they arrived broken, why wouldn't you return them?

They were insured. so i already was credited a refund. Right now there door stops and i guess the company figures it would cost too much to pay return shipping for door stops.

I really don't know how much the recycling ppl would give, Maybe $5 I really don't know, but my 80 year old dad loves going down there and turning his stuff in.....which if find strange considering he drives a Navigator which gets 14 mpg doing it. I just hate to see them go, but i guess to see a smile on the old mans face is worth it.
