I love all three of them, especially the coupe. I have seen a couple of 560 coupes, but I would love one those CD's with a turbo six in it.
What price range was the 85 CD in? I would love one. I especially like the looks of those little yellow Euro version lights up front.

Finding an 85 is pretty uncommon. I had never even seen one until I saw and bought this one and then, only because I was thinking about using it's engine in the rover.... I had 3 offers in the 5k range as it sits the next day, which tossed up red flags and made me do a little more research.
Clean ones run 14-15k.. I believe there are a few on ebay right now. I got mine for 1100 bucks and all it really needed so far was new tires. I'm going to be redoing the car from the ground up and it's going to be my personal car. I might be going to pick up a 84 300cd in a week or so thats been sitting for 9 years, but is 99% complete and rust free to use as a donor car for any odd parts I may need.
Thinks to watch out for, the rear window regulators are stupid expensive to replace... if you can get them your looking in the 1000 buck range. each... MB quick making them and the remaining stock is "when it's gone it's gone."
The upper rubber door seal... 4-500 bucks each. and so on and so forth... The coupe seats are not the same as the sedan... so your out of luck there.
Course the cool thing is, if you spend the money and do it right, you end up with something that very very few people have. Even as it sits it turns heads and I find it hard to take it anywhere that someone doesn't come up to it and start asking questions about it.

Yeah. We sold it after I rebuilt the engine because we were moving to Alaska...Sometimes I wish we'd brought it with us. They are great cars.

Might hear some news on my disco in the morning... It's been a real hassle so far, Every time I call I get the standard "he's talking with another customer or busy etc and will give you a call back" But in the 3+ weeks he's had it he has not called back even once. He want's me to call in at 9am and go over a few things with him... At least I'll hear something, my guess is that he's not even looked at it in the entire 3 weeks he's had it and will look at it tonight for 30 minutes so he has something to tell me.
If that's the case I guess I'll need to go get it and take it over to the rover dealer so I can get it on the testbook once and for all. It's getting fricken ridiculous and I don't know that I want him to do anymore (has any been done?) work on the truck at this point. There is no reason it should have taken a "rover specialist" this long to do anything to the truck. I'm sure I'll hear that they have been busy etc but the lack of communication or timeframe for the repair is unacceptable.

I agree. So I talked to him today. He said the ECM was giving bad signals so he couldn't do any more testing until it was replaced....
Which confirms what I said about him not even touching the truck till last night.
Supposedly, he said he had checked the ECM and swapped in a known good one the first time it was there... But, this time said he didn't have access to one that would work on it, only one for a 95, which makes me think he was lying about that.
I have a good used ECM on the way and should have it thursday or friday and will put it on. Since he has the test book I'll have him clear it etc. If it turns out that the ECM has been causing this issue the whole time I'm going to be pissed.

ECM after all that?
If it is - will you take a video of the polite conversation you have with him?
I do a very poor job of maintaining my composure and tact in situations such as the one you may very well face.
I simply cannot imagine thinking that it turns out to be something that you were told was eliminated early on. The $$$.....the TIME....
No, I would not be the guy your mechanic would want to break that news to.
HOLY..............................
