id offer $500. then at least if you part it out you can make some money.

he will take it if he is desperate enough. earlier this year i bought a 5spd d1 that i could actually drive home for $700.

Don't wait if you have the money, unless you really do not want it. If you have the money, offer the $500. If he says no, give him your number for when he changes his mind. Call him back a few days later and offer $500 again.

I agree. That's how I got my 96. PO wanted 1500....i offered 500....waited and eventually ended up at 900.

Only took a fuel pump to get her going..........

Depends on what the overheating issue is.
The no power under acceleration is a bad VSS.
Start at $500 but buy it for under $1000.
Replace the VSS.
If it only over heats at idle then replace the fan clutch, thats $50.
Then go from there.
