Default Possible to disable ABS light without removing bulb?

So I've gotta pass inspection next month and the good old ABS light is on of course. Disabled ABS system when we bought it as recommended, did the diagnostics before hand and it needs more than I feel like messing with right now. Anyway I'll probably get haggled over the light being on, is there anyway to get it to turn off without physically removing the bulb? Could care less if the ABS ever works but need that little orange PITA to go off so I can get my sticker. I dont mind just removing it from the cluster but I wanted to make sure that was the only option before pulling it apart.

Try removing ABS Warning relay, pages attached from RAVE, K103 I believe.

dont fear the ABS bulb removal.....2 screws to remove the dash "bezel" (keep track of what connectors go where for the switches) and you can pull out the bulb holder either by hand or needlenose pliers, remove the bulb ..reassemble...about 10-15 minutes

Made to be difficult to defeat. See attached. It is not just a bulb controlled by a relay.

Put the ABS pump fuse back, using the tech section "how to" clear all ABS codes.
Now with the ignition off unplug the ABS modulator itself, it is on the drivers fender by the master cylinder, there is a multi plug on it, unplug it.
Now the ABS light will work as it is supposed to, it will come on when you start the truck and then shut off once you reach 5mph BUT you will not have any ABS because the modulator is unplugged.
As long as the inspectors do not see the ABS pump being unplugged you will not have any problems.
I do not know what all they check as we dont have inspections here, but you will be good to go.

Like the unplug method. And if you really have to "hide" it, snag another plug from the boneyard and plug it in, shove wire to nowhere down in cable bundle...

Hi, just found this site after doing a search for ABS faults.... and this solution would be ideal for me, only trouble is so far it hasn't worked....

I'm in the UK, and the car is a 95 300 TDI ...... i cleared all fault codes, but of course the faults return as soon as i drive it.
Would like to remove the function , but it's law over here for for it to work if fitted.
Providing the light goes out as it should, they shouldn't have cause to doubt the system works.

But removing the multi plug from the modulator brings up a fault straight away, a connection failure between modulator and ecu.... so the light stays on! .......... unless of course i'm doing something very wrong

Any clues as to where i've messed up ? or any suggestions as to what to try next.
Never been a fan of ABS , so i'm quite happy have it dissabled.... providing it 'looks' like it's working

Dave
