Default Power delay no start

Hi so I think I need some help, I have a 96 Disco. I have had it for about a year and for the most part its been fine but about 6 months ago I had this weird issue where I was driving down the street at about 50 mph or so and it just kinda died on me, I was told it was a power issue. I would try and start it and it would wait 2-4 seconds and then try to turn over, and it would just keep trying to crank over but it would not start. I did new plugs and wires new bat cables new starter and a new coil pack. still no turning over. So I sent it to the Local LR dealer and they at first told me that it was the ignition switch but then said it was a short in my wire harness on the block and got it to start. Now six months later... same issue. I went in and looked at where they said the fixed the bad wire set and all I see is the same ole wire that was on there when I sent it to them the first time, just a new wrap on the spot, I am sending it back to them in the morning and telling them they need to fix what they said they did the first time but this time to do it right. But as for the help can somebody point me in the right direction so I can possibly fix it and not have to deal with these twits again. I really need my Disco I work outa the thing.

If you are electrically inclined, can handle a test light and a volt/ohm meter, the RAVE download below has an electrical troubleshooting guide with schematics, color codes, and pictures of locations of items.

It may be the ignition switch has finally died.

So I traced the problem to a corroded wire's coming off the fuse block along with a few popped fuses, LR was going to try to charge me $108 to fix this, I just did it myself for like $20 in all for parts.
