Default Power Steering pressure hose leaking...

I am in the process of replacing the pressure hose of my 97 D1. I've removed the serpentince belt and the fan top cover. I've removed the top radiator hose too since it's in the way. I'm trying to unscrew the connecting nut with a crescent wrench but with little space, makes it almost impossible to do so. Any technique or proper way to remove it. Should I remove the whole steering pulley and will this procedure makes it easier ( or difficult )? A link will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Erwin

There is no need to pull the fan clutch, trust me it wont be in the way. If youre set on removing it though it takes a 36mm.

I would just recommend taking of the pulley on the PS pump, its just three bolts and thats what opens up the area to get a wrench on the fitting on the bottom of the pump. Get ready for some spillage and of course clean up the chassis as soon as your finished.

This whole job including re-installing the belt should be under an hour.

I'm sure you know as well that ATF is the drink of choice for the PS pump.

Thanks for the sound advice. With extra patience and more initiative, I was able to remove and replace the hose. Didn't even bother removing the pulley. And yes' as soon as it's removed, it took about 15 mins to finish the job. ATF it is!

Did you have any issues bleeding the pump/system?
