2004 RR-HSE (Power Steering Fluid flush/hose replacement)
I was wondering if anyone out there has or is aware of what mileage or after how many years the power steering fluid on a 2003-2005 RR-HSE has to be serviced at? I purchased my vehicle with about 45K and that's one of the things I have not been able to do yet, by flushing out the old power steering fluid. Any recommendations on what type of PS Fluid to use? Or steps needed to do in order to get it done, besides simply disconnecting the hose, draining it and adding new fluid? All suggestions and help provided would be really appreciated. Thanks.
Many senior members suggest checking out green-oval.com its a great reference guide. Don't forget the hyphen when you type it in otherwise you end up on a different type of sight a non rover sight.

I have a 2002 Range Rover the P38 which was the model before the current generation. I just flushed my power steering fluid at 53k, I think it calls to have it done at the 60,000 mile service, but I was not happy with the way my truck was steering and sometimes when making a u turn I had a screaming noise happening. Turned out the old owner put to much power steering fluid in, so far it has been steering much better!
I used castrol dextron III, however I am not sure what your generation of Range Rover calls for or if the steps to complete it are any different.
