Default Proline fuel pump help...

so i've figured my pump is out, fed it power and nothing. trying to order from rovers north and their saying i need a new wiring harness for it, but i didnt see anything about that on here. can someone confirm this before i spend an extra 55 on something i dont need? if it comes to that i'll probably just order from Atlantic British...

I don't know what wire harness they are talking about. I put one of their pre-AEL fuel pump assemblies in my early 97 which is identical to the 96 and iut was plug and play as far as electrical. You may need the fittings for the fuel lines themselves.

Maybe they have problems with corrosion. I bought the pump from them, on my 96, and they asked about that harness, but didn't try to push it on me. I told them the connectors looked fine and I was getting power to the pump.

yes, worked fine. and it was also on a 96. Maybe they catch on fire or something? I've seen alternator plugs for some american cars that the wiring gets a little toasty sometimes.

on some the connector is different. mine had the 4 pole connector.
worst case scenario, buy it, if you don't need it return it.

doesn't come with a gasket.
