Proline Propshaft
Has anyone Used this Proline Kit to eliminate the Flex coupler. I Have just started getting into some actual rock crawling stuff and with the money I've spent on Flex Couplers I could have bought this.
The other option is a Double cardan. I've got a 2" lift would this be too much over kill or well worth it.
Here's a pic. I'll post more. Wheeling Chinaman Gultch loop in Buena Vista Co
Thanks guys

I've had hit and miss luck with Proline (the one I'm thinking of is Rovers North "other" line) some of it is ok and then some others are junk. Yes you can use an older Disco driveshaft, or have one made (probably a better idea if offroad it). then the only thing to do is change the diff input flange so you have something to bolt the new shaft to. Maybe you can find an input flange at a junkyard from an early D1. beautiful trails around your area. I have a friend that lives near Nathrop that I have visited and done some trail rides (in flat fender Jeeps, but don't hold that against me
)

Yeah getting rid of the roto is the only way to go if your doing any off road. I couldn't believe how fast you can shred thoes things. I really think I should do the double cardan because ya never know what you may change later.
Thanks about the trails. I really want to hit up kelly flats trail before the snow flies but have some little repairs to do first.

Someone should have a genuine shaft you can rebuild along with the four bolt flange.
Jake has one for sale now I think on Dweb.
Why would a Double Cardan be the other option? DC shafts are for the front, not the rear. I have a 3" lift and still run the stock ujoint driveshaft in the rear.

DC is the correct propshaft for some diff pinion/transfer case relative geometries.
If there's a small vertical angle difference you want single cardan, for a DC you want your pinion pointing at the transfer output.
