Finally put my 94 Disco on the road. Had to call my insurance company and give them the vin. Read it to them from the registration and the vehicle plate. Had to send them a picture of the registration because they said the vin was invalid. Anyone else run into this problem? Really has me curious. Thanks for your replies.

 

I've had that problem in the past but only with much older british cars.

 

I had my insurance drop me because DMV registered my truck as a trailer. My registration card said truck but when they ran the plate it came back as trailer. Then DMV sent me a $200 dollar fine for not having insurance on my truck. Made for a great time when I got pulled over and got put in the cop car till they figured it all out.
