Default Quick radiator question

Before I do something else stupid, can anyone tell me if there's a difference between a DI & DII automatic transmission radiator? I found a new in the box Land Rover radiator for a DII @ $150.00, but don't want to get it if it won't drop right into my DI. It looks the same as the one in my DI, but that's just from sight, I can't find anything that says they are, but then I can't seem to find anything that says they aren't either.

Huge difference, D1 radiator is a 3 core huge and fairly expensive compared to the D2 2 core alumium radiator.
What is wrong with yours, most people find it a lot cheaper to have a radiator shop rebuild yours.

They are two different animals. There is a D1 aftermarket rad that is aluminum with plastic tanks for about $235, some members have installed it. You can also have D1 brass radiator rodded out and hot flushed.

If you need a new radiator ASAP and cheap e-bay, there is a brand new DI radiator for $232 shipped.
A member bought one and 6 months later is still happy with it.

Mine is leaking at the oil cooler line & has over 150k on it. I also have a problem with the truck's temp gage jumping up quickly id I use the AC or let it idle (like at a stop light) if it's over 80 degrees. Just think it's not financially prudent to have it rebuilt.

Your fan clutch is bad, DI tech section, $50, 30min DIY.

As for the leak, JB Weld works wonders, clean up the area, sand it, clean it, JB Weld it, let it sit over night and you should be good to go.

Do you mind sending me a PM where you found the DII radiator? I am in the market for one and that is a good price.

Regards,
Mike

Yes, I saw that one, but the description is a bit confusing. One part says copper core & brass tank, and the other says aluminium core & plastic tank. Not to mention yes it has the tranny cooler & oil cooler, and in the same description, it says WO/EOC & WO/TOC. I dismissed it based on that.

Here is a pix of what our other member received. Has the coolers. At that price will have plastic tanks. Each oil cooler line has an o-ring, which might also be source of your leak.
