Default rad cap

Hey all, again thanks to all of those who have posted on this site. I have learned and fixed a lot on my disco. But...

I have a 94 D1 3.9 173K miles. I was curious on opinions about the pressure cap. I was checking fluid and broke the original that came on the truck when I got it. Black with 15 psi. In a hurry I got one from Auto zone with a 17 psi. Both have been spitting water. Like there is to much pressure. I am thinking blown HG somewhere between the exhaust on water. My dad says no, so I ask for help. Lol

Thanks in advance for any and all advice.
