Default Rattling Noise When Coasting

Any advice on the following?

I have noticed a new noise from the Disco.
It is a rattling noise, sounds close to dragging a chain, that occurs when I take my foot off the gas and coast. As soon I put the slightest load on, it goes away.
I crawled under it and, in a very scientific manner, grabbed, shook, & pounded on, various components. Nothing really. Only thing that I saw was the front propeller/drive shaft deflected at its slip spline.
Fluid was changed about 2,500 miles ago in both the front & rear diffs and transfer case. 80/140. No metal or other foreign material was noticed.
I also have a popping CV but have had that for about a month or two. Don't think they are related. Could be wrong though.

Going to take front shaft out and replace universals. While it is out, going to see if noise is still there. Man, I hope not.

Removed front drive shaft and took it for a spin. No noises. Universals looked ok but where very floppy.
R&R universals and the rattling noise is gone.
While the front shaft was out, shifting into reverse and drive where very clunky. Also downshifting in traffic was more pronounced and a bit clunky at times. Drove it w/o front drive for about 300 miles. After the shaft went back in most of that went away.
Well, except for the reverse clunk. I can minimize that by going from drive/neutral for a bit as stopping/reverse. No clunk then.
