Default Rear Brake Rotor Grind noise:-(

Hello Good People,

I have some noise coming from the passenger rear brake rotor. The sound is low but more obvious when coming to slow stops.
What should I be looking for when I take the wheel off?

With the tire rim still on I can rub my finger across the outer side of the rotor and it is smooth, while the inner side has some grooves. I notice the outer side of that tire rim being slightly more dirty if that makes a difference.

Thank you!

Pads. If you have wear on one more than the other the piston is sticking on the less worn side or the heavily worn side. The other fault is pads stuck due to worn pad shelves. Check all four corners.

Thanks ihscouts!

Will do this ASAP.
While I have you listening ear are you good people sticking with the factory brake pads or is there something else better? I am using the truck for simple city miles.

Thanks

I use whatever semimetalic pads are available locally in store, it's a dd on pavement. They last about three years. Truck stops. You might be in for a caliper replacement, last about 120k or so.

Thanks ihscouts!

New rear pads did the trick. The rear inside pads wore completely gone.
All front pads had more than 70% remaining.

Much appreciated!
