Rear bumper tread plate - removal?

Default Rear bumper tread plate - removal?
Just wondering if anyone has experience removing the rear tread plate and how they did it?

I installed a new OEM bumper I got for cheap, but the tread plate is damaged... my old bumper got bashed and smashed the lights on the passengar side, but the tread plate is mint! I'd like to switch the plates if it is possible.

I want to say a certain number of those little caps come off and expose screws? Maybe someone else will chime in. Im curious myself.
