Default rear cargo door fitment

Does anyone have any sage wisdom for getting the rear cargo door fitment right? Ive fiddled and farted with hinges and striker plate, but she leaks like a seive... the donor door is from a 95 also, but i had to swap over the striker plates as they were different... wasnt expecting that...

Were there any differences between 95 doors and the later D1s on the offchance that the door i received was not from a 95?

Tom' suggestion is best. The seal at the top of the door becomes overly and permanently compressed. I bought a piece of 3/8" round tubing and shoved it behind the seal to bring it forward. All sealed now and cost me $3.

Thanks Guys - appreciate the feedback.

I temporarily put some sticky back weatherstripping on the door top and it seems to have cured the leaks. Looks ****e though so I'll pick up a D2 rubber when one comes available...
