98 disco 1 4.0

Having issue with recirculate not working every time its engaged. Sometimes if I hold it in it will engage but that is becoming fewer and fewer each time.

Any quick solution or am I tearing into the dash to lube everything? - Or is it a bad motor/seloniod?

 

Holding the recirculate button makes it work? I would look at getting a new button first.

 

Those buttons are in a difficult location (as is the A/C button). Taking apart the switch, updating bulbs, and cleaning corrosion is a tedious but easy job and I suspect that is all you need.
